Duke commit Olek Czyz was the star of the show as he led the U.S All-Stars to a 123-85 blowout victory over the Capital All-Stars at the Comcast Center at the University of Maryland. The 6’8″ forward scored a game high 23 points, pulled down nine rebounds and was a perfect 5-of-5 from the free throw line off of the bench. His outstanding stat line led him to win him the MVP of the game. This was the second largest margin of victory for the U.S All-Stars (46 point win in 2002).
Clemson commit Andre Young won the 3-point shooting contest and also scored six points, dished six assists, and pulled down four rebounds for the U.S. All-Stars. Other contributors included Georgetown commit Henry Sims with 17 points, and future Terrapin Sean Mosley who contributed 16 points and six assists in the win. Playing this game in the Comcast Center gave the 6’5″ forward something to look forward to after committing to Maryland. Mosely said, “I’ve waited four years to go to a Division I school. Now, I chose my home school. I just want to win a national championship.”
